Nancy C. Snyder and Paula Vasquez have been collaborating for two years creating whimsical artwork in clay.  The partners’ newest venture is opening a sales gallery located at 521 E. Fifth Street in the Oregon District of Dayton, Ohio.
Their gallery, “ 5th st. clayworx “, opened April 1st.

Paula’s work includes origami paper crane hangings, handcrafted teapots from the Madeleine series, and Mexican style “Tree of Life"“ candle holders.

Together the potters have created “Happy Feet” cups that make you smile and wheel thrown salad bowls, each paired with a set of serving utensils. The utensils are accented by glass beads which are handcrafted by Paula.  The potters will continue to add more joint projects.

Nancy enjoys creating wheel thrown pottery that can be used in everyday like, such as mugs, plates and platters. This potter specializes in bowls of all shapes and sizes. In additional to her functional work Nancy has combined clay and glass to create a unique and colorful pieces of art.
